This class is for those brand new to Iyengar Yoga. You must sign up for the whole eight-week series. There is no drop-ins. Make ups can be arranged.
This class is for those who have studied with an Iyengar Yoga teacher but maybe it's been a while. All local friends who studied with Cindy Dollar when she was regularly teaching in Knoxville, or previously with Ron Felix, are welcome! It is preferred that you sign up for the entire series. Make ups can be arranged. Drop-ins upon request will be welcomed.
This is a great way to Try Iyengar Yoga and get acquainted with the method. If you are already acquainted, come anyway! All are welcome. This is yoga for EVERY BODY.
- Certified Iyengar Teachers are highly trained in sequencing to guide students though a safe and systematic progression, while observing students and using props to adapt poses for specific needs as needed. Here at Inner Space Yoga, Rebecca and I (Tammy) LUV what we are selling. Seriously! Not only is co-owner Rebecca Simmons keeping the bolsters rolling and moving, she is also now the VERY FIRST and the ONLY teacher in Knoxville who is certified to teach Iyengar Yoga National Association of U.S. -! It is always nice to share a passion between co-owners. And as a fellow lover of this method, I also know what a big deal this is. Rebecca has been working towards this for years. She is already an experienced practitioner and teacher. But this certification is a whole other level. Iyengar Yoga has a rigorous assessment process that ends in a review of teaching a class in front of a panel of more experienced teachers from across the country. She passed with flying colors!
